Message From the Chair

Fall 2023 Alumni Newsletter

On behalf of my colleagues in the Department of Political Science, I am delighted to present the return of our alumni newsletter, The PoliGRAM. The newsletter captures many of the events and happenings of this past year—including faculty activities, awards and outstanding students.

We started off the fall semester with our first in-person department event of the year — Polarization and Depolarization — which featured our own Professor Dominik Stecuła along with Professor Martín Carcasson and Professor Katie Knobloch from the Center for Public Deliberation and special guest Professor Matthew Levendusky from Annenberg Public Policy Center at the University of Pennsylvania. I was encouraged by the number of students, faculty, staff, and community members who were able to attend. If you are interested in watching the recording of the event, you can watch it on our YouTube channel.

We are always interested in hearing about you and your many accomplishments since graduating. If you have any news or stories that you would like to share with us and that we may include in future newsletters, please email them to our communications coordinator, Elise Dietrich. We also encourage you to stay connected via our social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter).

Lastly, our successes would not be possible without our incredible alumni and friends. Your support is essential to the continued growth of our department. We particularly appreciate your contributions to scholarships that support our students.

Robert Duffy,
Department Chair
