The Department of Political Science at CSU offers engaging undergraduate and graduate programs designed to expand your understanding of government, politics, and public affairs on both domestic and global levels.

Our curriculum provides a broad foundation across the discipline, including American politics, comparative politics, international relations, political theory, and public policy and administration. We also offer a unique and timely specialization in environmental politics and policy, reflecting our department’s commitment to addressing critical global issues. Our faculty and graduate students are actively engaged in research that advances political knowledge and seeks practical solutions to the challenges facing society in the United States and around the world.

Students in our programs develop strong analytical and critical thinking skills, along with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively—preparing them for impactful careers in public service, law, international affairs, advocacy, and beyond.

Undergraduate Students

Graduate Students

Earn your Master of Arts (M.A.) or Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in an established graduate program. We offer coursework in traditional political science and subfields, and our department has a unique specialization in environmental politics and policy.
