Biography

I am an Assistant Professor at Colorado State University.  I study identity politics, with a particular focus on how white Americans' thoughts and feelings about race shape their political behavior. My work relates to the literatures in race, ethnicity, and politics; political behavior; and political psychology. I teach courses on American government and racial and ethnic politics in the United States. I received my B.A. from the University of Washington, an M.Sc. from the University of Oxford, and my Ph.D. from UC Berkeley.
