CURRENT RESEARCH INTERESTS:

Research interests include Islamist movements, social policy and gender in North Africa and the Middle East (MENA) and the politics of food.

Current projects include a comparative book project on state capacity, COVID-19 and women in Egypt, United Arab Emirates and Turkey.
