Laura Russell (Bowman) graduated magna cum laude from Colorado State University and the University Honors Program with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, a minor in Media Studies, and a certificate in Diversity of Law in 2012. In Fall 2012, she entered into the Master’s Program of CSU, where she was a graduate teaching assistant. Laura completed her M.A. in Political Science, with a focus on Public Policy and Public Administration, and Environmental Policy in 2014.
After graduation, she worked for the City and County of Denver and for a private consulting firm as a policy analyst. Currently, Laura works for the Colorado Department of Health Care Policy and Financing, where she received the Team of the Year award for her contributions on children’s behavioral programs. “Because of the unique combination of theory and application that I experienced at CSU, I am prepared to analyze and improve any project I am working on, regardless of policy area.” She enjoys her role as a public servant and hopes to continue to serve her community.
