About: David Scott is a first-year Ph.D. student who received his B.A. in history at Michigan State University and his J.D. at Western Michigan University's Cooley Law School. After a short stint practicing law, David decided to return to school to research and explore ways to improve environmental policy. At CSU, David hopes to study sustainable urban transformation and development, focusing on issues of local governance, interactions between various actors, and individual motivations to adopt sustainable behaviors. While not studying or working, David enjoys playing, coaching, and watching soccer; salsa dancing, playing chess, and playing musical instruments!
