Political Science Associate Professor, Peter Harris, writes for the Conversation in an article titled: America’s role in the world 75 years after Pearl Harbor.
Political Science Ph.D. student, Sharmini Gingras, was selected as one of 24 International Presidential Fellows for 2017. “The International Presidential Fellows program was designed to introduce leading graduate students and visiting scholars to ongoing pathbreaking research at CSU, to develop their leadership potential in the international sphere, and to help build bridges to other researchers across the entire CSU campus.” The 24 fellows represent 15 countries at Colorado State University. Dr. David McIvor, an assistant professor in the Political Science department at Colorado State University, published his first book entitled, Mourning in America: Race and the Politics of Loss. The book focuses on the rise of public mourning, contextualizing events such as Black Lives Matters protests and how citizens can mourn these types of events. Dr. McIvor teaches political theory at both the graduate and undergraduate level.
Dr. John Straayer received the Distinguished Faculty Award at Colorado State University’s annual Distinguished Alumni Awards reception on Thursday, October 6, 2016.
