Fields of Study: International Relations, Environmental Politics and Policy, Comparative Politics and Latin America
About: Ana is a Ph.D. candidate in International Relations at the University of Brasília (Brazil). Her dissertation is focused on the climate responses of Latin American cities in the past ten years. Her research agenda encompasses the following issues: transnational climate networks such as C40 and ICLEI, global cities as actors in International Relations, comparative politics and policies and Latin America. She holds a Master's degree in International Relations from the University of Brasília, her thesis focused on the role of local governments at the UNHabitat II Conference and its national and international repercussions. She is also engaged in initiatives to promote gender equality in academia, being one of the founders of the Brazilian Women's Caucus (MulheRIs) at the Brazilian International Relations Association (ABRI). While at CSU, she will be working for the 2017-2018 academic year under Dr. Betsill supervision. She is fluent in Portuguese, Spanish and English.
