"After graduating from CSU in 2007 with a degree in Political Science, I spent six months in Nablus, Palestine running a micro-project focusing on engendering leadership skills, awareness of global issues, and critical thinking skills in youth and young adults. During this time I also taught English and helped a women’s center begin a fitness project in one of the local refugee camps. I spent 14 months living and traveling in Palestine/the Middle East; it remains today one of my favorite places on Earth. At the beginning of 2009, I moved to Vienna, Austria to pursue a second Bachelor's in International Development and a Master's in Social and Human Ecology. I am currently employed at an Austrian University as a project assistant working on issues of sustainability in bioenergy production. I am still passionate about and have close ties to Palestine; I try to make myself available as a resource for those wishing to engage in volunteer activities in the region. I hope to continue pursuing my passion for politics and change-making at home and abroad in the years to come through activism, my career and my personal everyday decisions."
