After graduating from Colorado State University, Eric was accepted into the nations number one City Management program at the University of Kansas. While earning his Masters in Public Administration, Eric interned as a Cookingham-Noil Management Fellow in Kansas City, Missouri; one of the nation’s most prestigious municipal internships for future city managers. As a Fellow, he helped multiple departments create their strategic plans, oversee the Public Works Department’s $145 million dollar budget, drove organizational change through analysis and presentation of performance data, and ran Kansas City’s Open Data platform. Eric is currently serving as Kansas City’s Chief Data Officer. In this role, he focuses on using data to uncover relationships, communicate ideas, and improve performance through the City’s Office of Performance Management.
